Let’s Save the Lives of Little Pets

Since receiving charitable status in 1999, the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter has adopted out thousands of pets that were abandoned, unwanted, relinquished or needed to be rescued. The Shelter has found loving homes for all of these innocent animals, but the work is far from done. Over 200 pets are on a waiting list to come into the Shelter and it receives 80-100 calls per day from people who need to relinquish their pets for one reason or another. Some rescued animals stay for a day, some a week, some a month and some for a year or more.

Each pet coming into the Shelter is health checked, receives all necessary medical attention and vaccinations by a qualified veterinarian and is either spayed or neutered when of age. Our average vet costs are $173 per day. Unlike other shelters, the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter is NOT funded in any way by the government, or government agencies, it is strictly a non-profit charity. We rely solely on the generosity of the general public and people like you.

Operating a “NO-KILL” animal shelter means that any animal coming into the Shelter, stays at the Shelter and is cared for until a loving home can be found for it. There Is No Time Limit On Their Stay. You can help NOW. For as little as $10 per month you can help make a difference in the lives of our animals in need.
