We are so happy that you are considering adopting one of our furry friends. Here are a couple things you will need for the adoption. Please bring with you a piece of ID that has your current address. If you are living in a rental place, bring your lease that states what pets and how many pets you can have, or an official letter of permission from your landlord will suffice. If you are bringing a puppy home by yourself or any cat/kitten, please bring a carrier with you to make the transfer to their new home more comfortable. We look forward to meeting you!
Please know that we do not profit from adoption fees. All adoption fees go to cover bringing all of our pets to health prior to adoption.
All dog & puppy adoptions include a thorough veterinary health check, veterinarian’s health certificate, de-worming, dog or puppies first vaccinations, spay or neuter, ear tattoo at time of spay or neuter, overnight stay at the vet if needed, as well as 6 weeks of Pet Secure pet health insurance.
All adoptions of previously spayed/neutered dogs include a thorough veterinary health check, veterinarian’s health certificate, de-worming, dogs first vaccinations, as well as 6 weeks of Pet Secure pet health insurance.
The Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter receives no government support, and relies solely on the kindness & generosity of our community. Without your support, we could not help the hundreds of helpless animals we serve each year. Please consider donating in any way you can. There are so many ways you can help us continue our lifesaving work.
