Lemonade GirlsMeet Madison, McKinley and Faith.

These three young girls love animals, and wanted to help the Winnipeg Pet Rescue shelter one day….but how? What do young kids do to raise money?? A lemonade stand of course! That’s just what these girls did on July 29th and 30th. The three were spotted by one of our shelter staff on McRay Avenue with a cute lemonade stand and some cake, four types I might add. They were asked what they were raising the money for and one said, “It’s for the animals at the shelter!” The staff member told her that she worked at the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter and wanted to bring them over for a tour later. The three jumped at the opportunity. They raised a total of $110.75 for the shelter.

If that wasn’t enough, one of the girls raised a little bit more on her own and dropped off an additional $50.50 for the animals.

It’s stories like this that make us continue to do what we do everyday, here at the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter.
